What do you see when you look at a photograph? Same image, so many ways to perceive it.
The author of this image tells us a bit about his work.
“The girl and her thoughts” by Luigi Grieco
As a young man I painted but then I stopped due to lack of time. I started getting passionate about creative photography during the first lockdown… I had some free time and so I started taking pictures with an iPhone which I then edited to get a pictorial look… Last year seeing the appreciation of my followers I decided to improve the quality of my work, and so I started using a Fuji XT30 camera. I love using slow exposure and moving the lens while shooting.
In my work I let myself be carried away by instinct, I look for beauty and poetry… and I hope to be able to excite those who look at my images… I do it above all because it makes me feel good, I have discovered the therapeutic power of creativity… which over time has become a daily need… When I notice a scene that strikes me, I always try to go beyond the mere representation of it, to go beyond the surface to get in touch with the most intimate and profound part of the subjects. You can't photograph a feeling, an emotion or a dream... but with images it is possible to evoke them.
The girl, absorbed in her thoughts, seemed detached from the reality that surrounded her, so I tried to travel with her, to imagine what she was feeling at that precise moment...
