What do you see when you look at a photograph? Same image, so many ways to perceive it.
The author of this image tells us a bit about his work.
"Dance" by Ștefan Neagu
The following situation is given: a nude model, a seamless white paper background, no distracting prop.
I am looking for representation of form; less interested in the erotic character, I move searching for the right angle, after the simple indication given to the model: "sit comfortably".
Fast forward, after the moments of developing and scanning, I look at the result and, cropping respecting the proportions, I look for lines to "quench" my OCD tendencies.
I find the balance I was looking for, and then, I do something I usually do to check the composition: I flip the image. Like an epiphany, the position of the knees and the touch of the ankles reveal the glimpse of a dance, a movement floating in the air.
Because sometimes you can turn something trivial into something else, with content; It is enough just to look carefully.
